
Melt 1/2 cup of the chocolate chips and the butter over low heat; cool. Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Mix remaining chocolate chips, eggs, sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, nuts, vanilla and chocolate mixture. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls two inches apart onto an ungreased baking sheet. Press marshmallow into the center of each cookie. Bake 8 minutes or until almost no imprint remains when touched with finger. Immediately remove from baking sheet. Cool on a wire rack. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
