
Cream together butter and peanut butter, gradually add the sugars. Add the egg and vanilla and blend. Gradually add the baking soda, salt and flour until thoroughly mixed. Shape dough into balls using a rounded teaspoonful for each. Roll the ball in sugar until completely coated and place onto greased baking sheet about two inches apart. Bake at 375 degrees F for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and top with a candy kiss, pressing down firmly. Return to oven and bake 2 to 5 minutes longer until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack. (Do not refrigerate dough.)
