Brown the meat in the skillet and add salt, pepper, and garlic for taste.
When browned, remove from the pan and place in the slow-cooker.
In the same pan you fried the beef tips, pour in a small amount of broth (about 8oz) and add the soup mix packets. Stir until well mixed and pour into crockpot.
Add the remaining beef broth to the slow-cooker. Cook on low heat for 8 hours.
